February 2, 2020 (Isaiah 6:1-8)
When Isaiah sees the Lord sitting on the throne he was a changed person. The Holiness of God caused him to look at himself and his people in comparison to God, and he was found to be utterly incapable of purifying himself. He needed atonement outside of his own efforts, and that is exactly what he received. We too, as fallen sinners, need atonement outside of ourselves and we have received it in Christ.
As believers in Christ, we are called to the same holiness of God. We have been made holy, and we are called to live holy lives for the glory of the one who is holy.
