In this text, Jesus explains his previous discourse, namely himself being the bread of life and the necessity of the believer to eat his flesh and drink his blood; associate with his death. We then see the outworking of the truth of “no one can come to the Son unless God the Father draws him” in the confessions of the disciples and the confession of the twelve.
